Everyone who has finished the qualification brevets can participate in
Paris-Brest-Paris. The qualification brevets are over 200, 300, 400, and
600 km, and they are being organized in most countries. All that is needed
is a bike (road bike or any other bike) with mounted light systems, and
reflecting vest is required. Wearing a helmet is recommended but not required.
Support cars are allowed during Paris-Brest-Paris, but not during the qualification
events. The support cars have to follow certain rules and are not allowed
on the road cyclists ride, but rather meet them at the control points. Professionals
are not allowed in the race.
